Can You Do Supersets Every Day?


Supersets mean you are doing two exercises in a row without any rest in between, you can do them for the same muscle group or for opposing muscle groups. This a very intense way to workout but gives you amazing pumps and faster gains in strength and muscle mass.

Two of the biggest questions I get about supersets are - "Can I do supersets everyday?" And "Can you superset every workout?"

The answer is...

Yes and by yes, I mean you can set up a superset workout program so that each work out is a superset workout.

However, the same principles apply to supersets as non-superset workouts.

For instance, you wouldn't want to do a full body superset workout every day. 3 times a week is fine, just not every day of the week.

My preferred approach with supersets

I like doing 4 day splits. Keep in mind you can do same muscle supersets which is where you work out the same muscle with 2 exercises back to back with no rest. Or you can do different muscle supersets where you target 2 different muscles with 2 exercises in one set. Either approach can be integrated into a full body program or split program.

Basically, supersets is a way to structure sets and plan a workout program. You can 1, 2 , 3, 4, 5 and 6 day splits. Treat them as you would non-superset workouts.
