How to Train Like an Animal
We all have a different way of training, whether you get to gym and follow your training log or you use instinctive training, you should make some time for a day when you train like an animal. The animal training routine below is extreme; it's designed with one thing in mind, to test yourself to the extreme.
This is impossible to do if you are training instinctively, you should do it with someone or get someone to time you. The objective is to complete 4 rounds without taking any rest between exercises. You need to reach down deep to push yourself to this extreme and moral support might help.
The objective is to complete all 4 movements with their 4 sets each, one round after each other, your first round will be 25 reps times the 4 different movements. Without taking a break you push on to the second round doing 20 reps of each of the 4 movements.
The 4 simple movements are a combination of HIIT (high intensity interval training) and bodybuilding, this is no ordinary workout and the only way you going to reach the end will be if you train like you're an animal. It starts with 25 reps in each set and then every circuit you reduce the reps by 5 reps.
The weight that you select when starting out is obviously very important, but if you feel the barbell you selected is too heavy by the time you get to the third round, then stop and lighten the load. So you will be doing 4 rounds of the following movements in the following order:
Barbell Thrusters 25, 20, 15, 10 reps
Push-ups 25, 20, 15, 10 reps
Kettlebell Swings 25, 20, 15, 10 reps
Burpees 25, 20, 15, 10 repsFor more information checkout the Spartan Fitness and Health Program.
